Happy Fall everyone!
For those of us living in Chicago it feels more like summer these past couple of weeks so we will take all the beautiful weather we can get!
The past two summers I've seen Rose´'s popularity grow, so why not enjoy a great Rose´ while the weather still calls for it? Raise your glass, let's toast with these!
I recently had the pleasure of doing a Rose´ tasting at Ciao Cafe & Wine Lounge. A big THANK YOU to Julie for always introducing me to new favorites! (New Age is one of my favorite whites) ... ok, back to Rose´... :)
All three Rose's were from Provence:
Barton & Guestier (B&G) - Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah
Chateau Pas du Cerf- Grenache, Cinsault, Tibouren
Domaine Saint Andre de Figuiere - Cabernet, Syrah, Consult, Grenache (cuvee style)
All three were smooth, not too sweet or dry, very balanced and easy to drink.
My favorite was the Chateau Pas du Cerf but all three were very good and it was very hard to make a choice! Rose´ can easily be paired with a variety of options including cheeses, salads, rice, pasta, and seafood.
Hope you’ll make the time to enjoy one of these.
Do you have a favorite Rose´? Please comment below, I’d love to try it!
