How do you wear flats and still stay fashionable, and most importantly, comfortable? Over the past year I did a comparison of two popular flats that seem to be pretty cutting edge, cute, and comfortable. Guess which brands and which was my fave? Ok, I'll spill the beans. I tried Tieks by Gravieli and Rothy's.
My first purchase was a pair of black Tieks. tieks.com The PROS: They're super comfortable, have a split sole, foldable, and have their own tiny little bag to store them in. These are handmade from italian leather. They're a great shoe to slip on and do all your walking in and then you can fold them up, bag them and put your slammin' heels on. :) The CONS: They honestly look like you're wearing those sock/shoe liners. At least for me this is what I found. They mold a little too much to your feet. The split sole is a deep aqua/green (think Tiffany blue) for all the shoes so I don't prefer that any color shoe I could have will have these aqua soles. My second purchase was a pair of pointy toed grey Rothy's. rothys.com The PROS: Super comfortable as well. Removable inside soles and the whole shoe and insoles are machine washable. The bottoms are made of recycled plastic bottles. The shoe keeps it's form and does not mold to your feet. They also have three styles: pointed, ballerina, and loafer. The CONS: Honestly, I LOVE them so I don't have any cons yet. The Winner for me: Rothy's. Have you tried either of these? Have you tried another brand you can recommend? Leave a comment below!
